Trek to Everest Base Camp - FAQ
Q: When is the expedition planned for?
A: Sometime during October - November, 2010. The exact date will be known only about one month before the start date, being dependent on local conditions such as weather etc.
Q: What will these funds be used for?
A: One hundred percent (100%) of the donations will be utilized for the purposes of the charity in setting up advanced educational facilities, to be made available at prices which are affordable to the less affluent.
Q: Who will join the expedition?
A: Currently we expect a core group of about 6 persons joining in the trekking. More details about who will join us will be made available as we get confirmations from the individuals.
Q: How much will it cost?
A: Per person it will cost about 2000 US Dollars excluding the cost of flights to and from Katmandu, Nepal. Each person is responsible for his/her costs. In addition we expect a generous donation to the charity.

Our Goal
Establishing and maintaining a successful University requires very large amounts of funding.
Our goal is to raise at least 5 million dollars to do this - and that's just to begin with. We hope that you will generously sponsor this event, our attempt at Fund Raising for this special charity project.

Q: Can anyone join in the trekking?
A: Yes...But, being a charity fund raising event only those who donate a minimum of US Dollars 30,000 (Euros 20,000 approximately) will be welcomed to join in to the core group.
Others can join our funding efforts, by helping us in this Fund Raising event, sponsoring a person in the group, and/or donating whatever amount can be afforded.
Q: How long is the expedition expected to take?
A: The trek from Katmandu to Base Camp and return to Katmandu is expected to be 20 days. This may change due to unforeseen conditions and circumstances occurring, at the time.
