The Sinhala Alphabet
Each letter of the Sinhala alphabet is represented below along with an accompanying recording of the phonetic sound associated with the letter. Clicking on a letter will provide you with a recording of the sound for that letter.
If this is the first time you've seen the Sinhala script this is a good way for you to start recognising the letters and also to start getting accustomed to the sounds used in the Sinhala language.
You'll need to listen very carefully as some sounds are very similar to each other.
